BPEA Credit is proud to share that it has officially become a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), as part of its commitment to incorporate more environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into its investment process and to adopt more sustainable investing frameworks.
PRI is a global initiative with a network of 5,000+ signatories. It works to understand the investment implications of ESG factors and support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.
By becoming a signatory, BPEA Credit reinforces its dedication towards adopting sustainable investment principles and industry best practices, all of which work towards driving a positive impact. This also aligns with BPEA Credit’s long-term vision to generate superior risk-adjusted returns for its investors in a responsible and sustainable manner.
Kanchan Jain, Head and CEO of BPEA Credit, commented: “Sustainable investing is a clear demonstration of an investment approach that can enhance risk-return profiles and has a positive impact on society at the same time. As a proud signatory of PRI, we look forward to further collaborations with the PRI team, industry experts, thought leaders and fellow signatories as we look towards building more sustainable portfolios and contributing towards a responsible investment ecosystem.”
David Atkin, CEO of the PRI, said: "The PRI is extremely pleased to welcome BPEA Credit as a signatory. In joining PRI, BPEA Credit agrees to incorporate ESG factors into its investment and ownership decisions. We look forward to working with the team.”
